The act of engraving to make a print is personified here by a woman in classical dress, barefoot, holding in her outstretched arms a print that she has presumably made, of a woman, perhaps the personification of Painting from the previous page. Behind her is a printing press, and dnagling from her left hand are the tools of the engraver. On the floor, ink bottle and mushroom-shaped dabber.
