Greek family returning from the harvest., in Greece more
Família Griega volviendo de la vendimia
Here we see two adults and a child, all barefoot and the child bare-shuldered and bare-legged. The woman in front carries leaves; the child plays twin pipes; a youth (I think?) making up the rear is balancing a try perhaps of grapes or olives on top of his or her head with one arm and leading a pair of yoked oxen with the other. The family is going through a forest; in the far distance is a Greek temple on top of a hill.
