A hind, a stag, a pair of rabbits and two birds are listening to this winged angel playing the harp, in a decorative pice full of vine-leaves. The angel is naked except for a loin-cloth and is barefoot. All very romantic and bucolic, a pastoral scene from heaven. the decoration does not directly relate ot the content of the book. |
