Art Nouveau Nude Archer in Forest more

A boy or young man (based on his proportions) is about to fire an arrow from his bow. He is naked, barefoot, and has wings that reach down to his heels; there’s a strap over one shoulder, probably for a quiver holding arrows. In the background are stylised trees and thorns.
This may be inspired by a scene from the Finnish myth cycle The Kalevala, judging by the hole through the youth’s hand, or he might be a cherub. There are flowers by his feet.
The illustration was made by the artist Aubrey Beardsley for a deluxe edition of La Morte D’Arthur in 1893, and could be taken as either male or female.
