Bookplate more
An “ex libris” or bookplate from Swansea Training College, showing a castle gate with raise port-cullis, and with the motto “Gladly wolde he lerne and gladly teche” from Chaucer’s Clerk, and a Welsh motto, maybe Ni wyr na dder lien o, or maybe Nidder wyrllen nao.
The bookplate is in my copy of Cotgrave’s English/French dictionary from 1650, which I bought in a Toronto book fair.
