Notes:

Here we have an angel with wings, barefoot and with flowing robes (or a toga maybe) and a coronet, sitting on a cloud in Heaven, with a trumpet or horn in each hand, announcing something.

Biblical angels did not have wings; they were a late addition, maybe from the third or fourth century CE.

The engraving is signed by “Yves & Barret”, a prominent French firm that specialized in photoengraving in the 1880s and 1890s. The picture is also signed by Le Clerc, and the caption says, composition and engraving by Le Clerc, but i am not certain who that was.
