The German caption reads “Eine Werkstätte der Bühnentracht. Das Ciselieren.” which Google Translate fails at miserably, but translates more or less as Workshop For Stage Costumes: The chiselling (or, chiseller?).

Das Eindeingen des Naturalismus oder besser gesagt der Wieklichkeitstreue lësst sich nicht allein am modernen Drama studieren, as hat auch der Bühnendarstellung der geschichtlichen Vergangenheit sinen Stempel aufgeddrückt. Hier haben die "Meininger gründlich Wandel geschaffen. Der Respekt vor dem Kostüm hat die Achtung vor dem geschictlichen Chaakter gezeitigt.
