This engraving is of a Russian wedding feast among the Russian nobility. The groom has seen the bride’s face for the first time and is about to kiss her; the bride does not look very eager. I wouldn’t be either, he looks smarmy.

The engraving that i scanned is huge, approximately A3 (11x17 inches or so). The lighting, the detail, the roast swan on a platter, have all been portrayed well here.
