Some pictures from Illustrirtes Familienbuch zur Unterhaltung & Belehrung häuslicher Kreise, which is, Illustrated family book for entertainment and instruction in domestic circles, by Lloyd Oesterreichischen. There is no imprint page and no date on the title page, but this is volume Five; it seems there were 15 volumes in all, from 1851 to 1865. The magazine would have been issued monthly, so this volume represents a year, probably from Summer 1857.
Pages are approximately 32cm, or a little over a foot, in height.
Lloyd Oesterreichischen, or Österreichischen, was the largest Austro-Hungarian shipping company, founded in 1833 and based in Trieste.

This engraving by Schultheiss is based on an oil painting by Moitz von Schwind, and depicts a scene about Rudolf von Habsburg (1218 – 1291), King of Germany. The story is that Rudolf, when he was still Count of Swabia, met a priest who was carrying the Sacrement for a Mass. Rudolf got off his horse to let the priest ride, out of respect for the Host.
