Notes:

Menukarte (Mundschenkin)

This lady is a waitress or cup-bearer. In one hand a jug, in the other a spiked medieval cup. Behind her an ornate carved table. She wears a necklace of beads and a long dress.

Presumably the ideas was that text would be inserted into the banners and banderols in these pictures.

The image is signed O. Leitz and Weisenbach. Weisenbach is a town in Germany. O. Leitz will be Otto Leitz, a German artist in oils who flourished from 1860 to 1910 or so.
