This woodcut is from page 483; Troilus and Criseyde, a young man and a young woman respectively, are shown on either side of a hexagonal table; there are plates of fruit and a flagon of drink. There is grass on the floor, suggesting a courtyard. This illustration is the start of Book Two of Chaucer’s Troilus and Criseyde. I have included the outer floral border here but made it a lighter gray to make the image stand out.
