The Knight Hospitaller’s Tomb and Old Chained Bible at North Baddesley Church. The bible dates from 1620 and was donated to the church in 1702. The tomb is now in the chancel of the church.

(From a Photography by the Rev. Dr. Bourne)

The Reverend Doctor Bourne was (if it is the sameone, C.W. Bourne) head of King’s College School in 1899; it’s a reasonable guess that he died before 1936, which would make this image out of copyright, but it is of course by no means certain.
