This book is a collection of other books, but with its own title page, shown here, all about hermeticism: alchemy, astrology, and theurgy (magical ritual for the purpose of perfecting one’s self)

The title page to the collection, then, is this page: ornate, with a border showing signs of all these things.

The alchemical occult border is available as a separate image.

Usually i convert the title page scans or photographs in this case into greyscale images, but here i left the yellowing of the page.

The page is signed at lower right M. Merian fec., with fec presumably short for fectatum, meaning made. This was probably Matthäus Merian der Ältere, a Swiss engraver who lived in Frankfurt.
