This appears to be a rustic country dance. In the bacground a man plays a musical instrument, perhaps a hurdy-gurdy. You can see how the young man aims to gain the favour of the lady. The people are dressed in eighteenth-century costumes.
I have made also a brighter version that might be better for printing.
