Ornate blue and gold full-page borderdetails

A sumptuous and ornate medieval hand-drawn full-page frame or cartouch from this early sixteenth-century book of hours. Gem-encrusted golden vases and styilized leaves are on a solid blue background. I have left the background cream-coloured like the original vellum. Changing the blue to a purple or red will also look very splended and for sure this would be fabulous on a christmas card.
