A tall slender young woman (presumably wearing a corset under her full-length dark dress) is standing on a terrace, near stone steps the descend, near a stone balustrade, near a column topped by a naked cherub or putto holding alove a lantern. Behind her threes, perhaps cherries in full blossom. She wears a top hat and leather riding gloves, and carried a riding crop under one arm. Around her, three dogs look up at her, full of hope and affection.

The cherub is a symbol of romance, of love; the lady’s expression and the riding crop might symbolise represent something else, perhaps.

Maybe it could make an interesting Valentine’s Day card, bu be careful what you wish for!
