In this full-page design a mænad, or female faun, part human and part goat, is sitting under a tree playing a pipe; a male faun is seated next to her playing pipes and with a laurel wreat round his hair. They are topless, unclothed but with animal hair growing beneath the waist.

This is a clean design that could be used with the tree on the left reaching to the top of the page, or placed in the bottom left corner perhaps. It uses only two ink colours and hence can be reproduced inexpensively.
