This engraving looks as if it’s of a stone carving; it depicts a cherub, (a sort of putti), together with flowers, vines and fruits; apples, pears, grapes and more; perhaps to celebrate fertility, or for a harvest festival. The engraving is signed J.W. but there is no matching name in the index of artists at the start of the book. |
