Notes:

The words La France appear in very large writing on this page, the F and E perhaps 5 inches / 12.5cm tall, in bold uneaven script that says 1880s France; beneath that ILUSTRÉE is in sans-serif type, and the remaining text has serifs although the word JOURNAL is distorted, the letters getting deeper in the middlee of the word, dowm from the cap height, whish is level. A rustic twig border surrounds the page, intertwining with “La France at the edges, and with a grey cross as a full-page background.

The full text is,

La FRANCE ILUSTRÉE JOURNAL LITTÉRAIRE, SCIENTIFIQUE ET RELIGIEUX

The border is signed Touillaut (i think) and YAN ’D.
