Edwars, Bulwer, Lord Lytton, who wrote these dainty lines, was an historian and a poet, although preeminent as a novelist; being author of about twenty romances. He wrote a few plays, among which is “Lady of Lyons,” one of the favorites of the stage. He was born in May, 1805, and died in London, January 18, 1873.” (p. 67)
