Illustrations of Baptismal Fonts (page 1/2)

details...

Some wood engravings from Illustrations of Baptismal Fonts by Thomas COmbe (i think). Mr. F. A. Paley, M.A., who wrote the introduction, was at this time the honorary secretary of the Cambridge Camden Society, according to the title page. This is Frederick Apthorp Paley (1815 – 1888) according to the Library of Congress catalogue.

Note that these are fonts for wetting the heads of infants in batism, not computer fonts!
