Images from La Vie Parisienne (Paris Life), edited by Marcelin. This was a weekly society paper. I have 1863, 1864 and 1865 all bound together. Later the magazine became known for saucy pictures of women. It continued publication from 1863 up to 1970.
The cover of each issue says La Vie Parisienne edited by Marcelin: Elegant Manners Current Events - Fantasies - Travel Theater - Music Fashion
One issue every Saturday.
Subscriptions begin on the 1st of each month.
Offices: 9 Place de la Bourse.
Single issue sales: Defaux, 8 rue du Croissant.
Today the site seems to be occupied by Avence France-Presse, who have been there since 1835 it seems, when it was called Havas.
