Where Governor William Bradford was born. The picture is marked By permission of E. L. Scrivens whom I take to be the occupant portrayed. William Bradford (born 1588) was the second governor of Plymouth Plantation, part of the European rape and pillage of what is now called America. Austerfield is near Bawtry on the A614. There is also in this book a photograph of Austerfield Church. |
