Notes: |
Rosa Lutescens is also known as Rosa hispida. The blooms are white with a faint tinge of yellow, so it might be that the colouring is a little too strong here. In english, it’s a sort of rose. The text at an angle near the stem says Lossing & Cp. I suspect this book often gets destroyed because people like to cut out things like this colour picture of a rose and frame it on the wall. I have left the background paper visible in this scan; if you’d like a version with a cleaned background let me know. |
