Images and some text extracts from Volume 3 of History of the World by John Clark Ridpath, published by Merrill & Baker of New York in 1885 and reprinted in 1897.
There were originally four volumes in this edition; currently I have this and one other, that i bought at Hannelore Headly Books in St Catherine’s, Ontario, Canada, now, sadly, closed.
