Frederick Adcock died in 1944, more than 70 years ago, so copyright has expired on the illustrations.
The historian Arthur Granville Bradley (1850 – 1943) was a fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, and died more than seventy years ago; the text is also out of copyright.

Walmer Castle is the official residence of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, a rôle tht dates back to Anglo-Saxon times, over a thousand years ago.
