Image title: Cromleh near Dundalk Ireland, from the Druidical Antiquities plate.
Source: Grose, Francis: “The Antiquities of England and Wales” (1783)
Place shown: Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland
Keywords: druids, megaliths, ruins, tombs, greyscale
Status: public domain in the USA, out of copyright in Canada, hence royalty-free stock image for all purposes and no usage credit required

Notes:

This is an engraving of Proleek Dolmen, part of a megalithic portal tomb, although this should not be taken to imply that there is a burial chamber. The capstone is almost four metres long and over three wide (twelve feet by four feet, roughly) and would weight some 30 or 40 tons.
