François Emile Ehrmann (1833--1910) was born in Strasbourg, Alsace, France. He worked with oil on canvas as well as designing stained glass windows, for example the windows of Collégiale Saint-Martin de Montmorency. He also seems to have drawn initial capital letters. He died in Paris.
