Sydenham House, Devonshire (cir. 1600)
It’s in the parish of Marystowe, West Devon. Today the house appears to be known for the pheasant and partridge shooting on the grounds. There are late 17th and early 18th century gardens.
The house may have a connection with Sir Francis Drake.
A fire in November 2012 badly damaged the roof and upstairs of the house.
