Under the mask and pretext of duty to God, they preach up the divine right of kings to tyrannize, and enjoin us to passive obedience and non-resistance to oppression.
Wherever God erects a house of prayer,
The devil always builds a chapel there;
And ’twill be found, upon examination,
The latter has the largest congregation.
