Son of Typhœʹus, the giant with a hundred heads. He was so tall that he touched the skies with his head. His offspring were Gorgon, Geryon, Cerbĕrus, and the hydra of Lernē. Like his father, he lies buried under Etna. (Homer: Hymns.) (See Giants.)
