or Durinʹdana. Orlando’s sword, given him by his cousin Malagiʹgi. It once belonged to Hector, and was made by the fairies. It could cleave the Pyrenees at a blow. N.B.—In French romance Orlando is called Roland, Malagigi Maugis, and the sword durandal or durinʹdal. (See Sword.)
