This is a picture of the title page of the book; it’s black and white. There’s a wide border of grape vines, grapes, grape leaves round the outside. Inside the vines and leaves continue. The whole page is very dense and heavily patterned, with not an inch of white space. The writing in the middle is in really large letters, so that five lines of text take up the whole page, and it’s in white letters with black outlines that merge into the patterns. The typeface style is calligraphic blackletter, with the letters G and C in Geoffrey Chaucer being made of leaves.
