Trinity-House

Trinity-House a kind of college at Deptford, pertaining to a company or corporation of antient masters of ships, &c. who have a power, by the king’s charter, to take cognisance of all those who destroy sea-marks, and redress their doings, and also to correct the faults of sailors, &c. and to take care of several other matters belonging to navigation; to examine young officers, &c.
