A Phanatick

A Phanatick [phanaticus (L.) of ζαíνι (Gr.) to appear]
a visionary, one who fancies or thinks he sees spectres, spirits, apparitions, or other imaginary objects, even when awake, and takes them to be real; also one who pretends to revelations and new fights; hence the word is apply’d to entusiasts; and also to dissenters from the establish’d Church of England.
