The naked man is on the left of the picture, facing to the right, with his right arm outstretched to hold the bow. His right leg is very slightly forward, just enough to hide anything people shouldn’t see. His breast protrudes enough that the figure could also be read as female, or androgynous, something subversive when the figure was furst published in the 1890s.. The picture is done in white on a black background. There’s a rectange at upper right, perhaps with an artist’s monogram.
