Image description for Persina

[the image described here]

In addition to the main description it may be useful to know this is a chromolithograph, printed in three solid colours: a muddy green for the river, the stems and leaves of the flowers, and the stone wall behind the woman; black for the cave entrance and lines to make the shapes of leaves and the woman; yellow for the flowers. The woman has some shading in the same green as the water, and her hair is that colour too, but her body is simply uninked, the white of the paper.

There’s a VW monogram of the artist in the lower left corner.

Thank you for visiting.
