This building was demolished in 1963, and there is nothing left of it.

I find no mention of this Hall in the book, unfortunately.

Methley Hall was the country house of the Savile family, Earls of Mexborough. According to Philip Davis, it dated from the fifteenth century with additions of c1590,1620, and also by Carr of the 1770’s. It was remodelled by Salvin in 1830-6 and demolished in 1963.
