Poiˊsoning

Poiˊsoning by a statute in the time of Henry VIII. was made high treason; after the repealing of this law the punishment inflicted was to be put alive into a cauldron of water, and to be boiled to death; but now it is only hanging, it being felony without the benefit of clergy.
