Mercaˊtors Chart

Mercaˊtor’s Chart [with Navigators] a sea chart, in which the parallels are represented in strait lines; and the meridians in like manner by parallel strait lines; whose degrees notwithstanding, are not equal, but are continually enlarges as they approach nearer to the pole in the same proportion as the parallel circles decrease towards them.
