Liberality

Liberality is represented [in Painting] by a nymph, in a white veil, to shew she has no sinister ends, with an eagle over her head, because that animal always leaves some of her prey to other birds. Holding in each arm a cornucopia, out of one of which she scatters jewels, and other precious things, and out of the other fruits; smiling, at the same time, to shew she gives with a good will.
