Iˊmage [F. imagine (It.), imagàn (Sp.), imagem (Port.), of imago (L.)] a natural lively Representation of an Object opposed to a smooth well-polish’d Surface, but is generally used for a Representation
or Likeness of a Thing, either natural or artificial; a Statue, or Picture.
