A knight in armour carrying a shield is on foot, leading his horse. He stands by a tree in front of a church or monastery door. A bearded monk beckons him in, pointing towards the open door. In a niche in the wall we see a statue of the Madonna and child. In the far background there is a castle on a hill. Published 8. June, 1784, by S Hooper. N. C. Goodnight sculpt. |
