Gibʹeonite (4 syl., g hard).

A slave’s slave, a workman’s labourer, a farmer’s understrapper, or Jack-of-all-work. The Gibeonites were made “hewers of wood and drawers of water” to the Israelites. (Josh. ix. 27.)
