Guernsey

Guernsey, the second in size of the Channel Islands (q.v.); fruit and vegetables are largely exported, and it is noted for a fine breed of cows; St. Peter's Port is the only town, and has an excellent harbour.

Population (circa 1900) given as 35,000.
